  3. Very sharply defined frequencies for oscillation of the entire Sun provide one of the latest examples of SOHO's 
  4. helioseismic work, by the GOLF instrument. These are remarkably free from background noise, especially at the lower 
  5. end of the frequency range. At the higher end of the spectrum, the pseudo modes (or HIPs for High Interference Peaks) 
  6. can be seen (bottom).
